Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. What this Policy is
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what may not be listed, promoted, sold or offered on Cirkle. It applies to every event, ticket, stall, vendor package, shop, product, service and listing on the Platform, and to everyone who publishes them: organisers, vendors and shops.
It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read with the Marketplace Policy and the Vendor Agreement. Where this Policy and another document both cover something, the stricter rule applies.
2. What is not allowed
You must not use Cirkle to list, promote, sell, offer or arrange any of the following, in an event, a shop, a listing, a message or anything else on the Platform:
- Anything illegal in Nigeria, or illegal where the buyer or the event is.
- Weapons and ammunition, including firearms, parts of firearms, explosives, and other weapons.
- Drugs, including illegal drugs, controlled substances, and medicines sold without the licence or prescription the law requires.
- Adult or sexual services and content, including pornography, escort services and sexual services.
- Gambling, betting and lotteries, including raffles or prize draws that require payment to enter.
- Counterfeit or stolen goods, including fake branded goods and goods you do not have the right to sell.
- Investment, cryptocurrency, forex, Ponzi, pyramid, multi level marketing or "money doubling" schemes, and any offer of loans or credit.
- Fake or misleading events, including events that will not take place as described, and tickets, stalls or packages that cannot be honoured.
- Hate, violence or harassment, including content that attacks people for who they are, promotes or glorifies violence, or threatens or bullies anyone.
- Tobacco and vaping products sold to anyone under 18.
- Alcohol sold without any licence the law requires.
- Trading in personal data, including selling, buying or sharing lists of people's names, phone numbers, emails or other personal details.
- Anything prohibited by Paystack's own acceptable use rules. Payments on Cirkle are processed by Paystack, so its rules apply to every sale. They are part of Paystack's Terms.
Cirkle may also remove anything we reasonably consider unsafe, unlawful, misleading or harmful to the people using the Platform, whether or not it appears on this list.
3. What happens if this Policy is broken
Depending on how serious the breach is, we may do any of the following, without notice where the law allows:
- Remove or unpublish the listing, product, shop or event.
- Suspend the account, which stops any further activity on the Platform.
- Close the account permanently.
- Share information with Paystack, and cooperate with Paystack's own review, including where Paystack holds or reverses a payment.
- Report the matter to, and cooperate with, the police and other law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
Where we suspend an organiser, entry passes that attendees have already paid for remain valid. Refunds for sales that cannot go ahead are handled as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
If you believe we acted in error, email hello@cirkl3.com with your account details and an explanation, and we will review the decision.
4. How to report something
If you see anything on Cirkle that breaks this Policy:
- Use Report this on the event, shop or listing, and choose a reason. You need to be signed in, so that we can follow up with you.
- Or email hello@cirkl3.com with a link and what you saw.
Reports go to our moderation team. We will not tell the person you reported who you are, unless the law requires us to.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy, for example when the law or Paystack's rules change. We will tell sellers through the Platform before a change that affects them takes effect.
